Gemini 4 Argon: Availability, API Pricing and Access

What Google has confirmed about Gemini 4 Argon access and announced API pricing, what remains unknown, and whether it is available on Yix.

Is Gemini 4 Argon available?

Google announced Argon on September 30. Initial access covers trusted cyber defenders and testers; broader access is planned to start with paid API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers. No general release date is given. See Google’s announcement.

Google describes Argon as a model for coding, reasoning and professional workflows. Its multimodal understanding should not be confused with an image or video generation product. The DeepMind model page describes its capabilities separately from Nano Banana and Gemini Omni.

Announced API pricing

These are Google’s announced token rates in USD, not Yix credit prices:

PeriodPer 1 million input tokensPer 1 million output tokens
Introductory$2$10
After the introductory period$4$20

Google also announces a 95% discount for cached input tokens. The introductory period’s end date is not specified. Source: the pricing paragraph and footnote in Google’s announcement.

For budgeting, separately count input and output tokens, then check the rate that applies to your account when access becomes available. Do not treat an announced rate as proof that you can submit requests today.

Is there a public API model ID?

At the last check, we found no Argon model ID in the public Gemini API model list, and no Argon entry in the Gemini API pricing documentation. We have not verified a callable endpoint. An API key alone does not confirm Argon access.

Check those two documentation pages and your Google account’s actual model access before implementing a client. Public documentation and account eligibility may change at different times.

What remains unknown?

  • The date of general availability and when a particular account will qualify.
  • A documented public Argon API model ID, supported request settings and account quotas.
  • The introductory pricing end date.

Google’s announced 1 million token limit refers to output, not input context capacity. We do not infer the input limit from that figure. See the announcement’s output-limit section.
