Kenerate AI is a browser platform for generating images and videos and editing existing photos. If you arrived looking for a photo editor, begin with one picture and one change. A product background replacement is a useful first task: you can judge the new scene against the original without needing a complicated prompt.

The platform details here come from Kenerate's public pages, checked on October 10, 2026. The prompts below are original examples to adapt, not claims about results from a paid test.

Which Kenerate workspace should you open?

The Kenerate homepage separates Image, Video and editing tools. Choose by what you already have:

Your starting pointWorkspace to look forWhat to decide first
An idea, with no source pictureImageSubject, composition and intended crop
A photo that needs a different backgroundEdit or an image model that accepts a referenceWhat must stay unchanged
A finished still that should moveVideo with image inputA single movement and clip length
A clip that needs changesA video editing toolWhether you need replacement, restyling or another specific edit

Generating a new picture and editing a supplied picture are different tasks. If keeping a product's shape matters, check that your original photo is attached before pressing Create. A text description of the product gives the generator more room to invent details.

Edit a product photo without losing the product

Kenerate's image editing guide describes uploading a picture, giving an instruction, choosing settings and reviewing the result. It also lists brush tools for changes confined to a region. The exact controls depend on the chosen tool.

Start with a photo in which the whole product is visible. For this example, imagine a brown canvas backpack on a cluttered kitchen counter. The goal is a plain shop image with a pale grey background. Keep a copy of the original so you can compare it after each attempt.

  1. Open the editing workspace and upload your photo. Check the thumbnail; a similar picture from your history can be easy to select by mistake.
  2. Choose an editing model available to your account. Read its input requirements and the credit amount shown for the selected settings.
  3. Describe the background change. Name the details that should remain: bag shape, strap position and fabric colour.
  4. Make one draft. Compare it with the original at full size before requesting a second edit or a larger output.

Try this instruction:

Replace the kitchen background with a plain pale grey studio backdrop. Keep the brown canvas backpack, its straps, zipper and fabric colour unchanged. Keep the original camera angle. Add a soft contact shadow directly beneath the backpack. Do not add lettering or props.

Keep the first edit narrow. Asking for a new setting, camera angle, surface material and logo in one attempt makes it harder to work out which request caused an unwanted change. Once the background works, save that result before experimenting further.

What to check before you download

Inspect the strap attachments, zipper and contact shadow. Those small areas often reveal whether an attractive picture still depicts the object you uploaded. For a portrait, compare the eyes, hairline and clothing edges instead. Treat “keep unchanged” as an instruction to check, not a promise of exact preservation.

Problem in the draftA focused next attempt
The backpack changes shapeReturn to the original; remove style and camera requests
Part of the old background remainsUse the available region selection around that area
A label becomes unreadableKeep the original label artwork for a separate finishing step
The object appears to floatSpecify where its base meets the surface and check the shadow

Keep the strongest version rather than feeding every imperfect result into the next edit. Repeated edits can make it difficult to remember which details came from the original. Give saved files descriptive names so you can recover the version with the correct product shape.

Turn an approved still into a short video

Kenerate's video guide shows image input, model selection, duration, aspect ratio and audio controls, followed by a gallery for playback and download. Check the selected model's options; the platform's broad feature list does not mean every model supports every control.

For the backpack example, start with a restrained motion instruction:

The camera slowly moves closer to the brown backpack. The backpack stays still on the surface. Keep the straps and zipper stable. Soft studio lighting, no new objects.

Watch the full clip before exporting. Stop on several frames and compare the straps, zipper and background. If they change, simplify the motion or return to the approved still for a fresh attempt. A clean first frame does not tell you whether the rest of the clip is usable.

Free credits and prices: check the task cost

On October 10, 2026, Kenerate's pricing page advertised 25 starter credits and a $15 one-time Starter pack containing 1,300 credits. It says purchased credits do not expire. Offers can change; confirm the amount shown before paying.

Starter credits do not establish access to every model. The editing guide identifies a limited selection for free accounts, while the video guide describes credit-pack access. Check your chosen tool and account rather than planning a project around a free-video allowance.

Compare the displayed charge for your actual settings, then allow for discarded drafts. A pack's estimated image or video count is not a guarantee for a particular model, resolution or clip length.

A Yix option for the same photo-editing task

If you want to try the background-replacement task here, use the Yix editing card below. It opens an existing Yix image editor with a specific model selected. Upload your own photo and adapt the example prompt before generating.

This is a Yix alternative for the task. It does not open Kenerate, transfer Kenerate credits or reproduce a Kenerate-specific workflow.

For commercial work, read Kenerate's terms and check the rights to your source material. Its commercial-use language should not be read as permission to use anyone else's photo, logo or likeness. Save the original, selected edit and prompt together so another person can review what changed before publication.
