Everygen AI video generator: from an idea to a short clip
Understand Everygen AI, choose text or image input, and plan a short video. Try the shared Seedance 2.5 workflow on Yix with clear settings and credit costs.
Everygen AI video generator is part of Everygen, the video creation product formerly called Viewmax. Its official site is everygen.ai. If you want to use that product or manage an existing subscription, start there. Yix is a separate service.
For someone making a short video, the first decision is practical: do you need a new scene from words, movement from an existing image, or a finished sequence with narration and captions? This guide helps you choose the starting point, then walks through the shared text and image video task using Seedance 2.5 on Yix. It is a workflow guide, not a hands-on quality comparison between the two services. Product pages were checked on October 9, 2026.
What Everygen offers
Everygen's website lists video and image generation alongside Shorts Studio, marketing templates, captions and voiceover tools. Seedance 2.5 is one of the models it advertises. Those surrounding tools matter if your deliverable is an edited social video rather than an individual shot.
Its video generator presents a prompt field, model selection, framing, duration and a starting-frame input. Availability and settings depend on the selected model. Choose the tool for the job you want to finish; a model name alone does not describe the whole editing workflow.
Start with a sentence or a picture
Use text when you can describe the scene but do not already have the opening frame. Use an image when you have a composition, object or location you want the video to begin with. A reference gives the model a starting point; it does not guarantee that small details stay identical throughout the clip.
| Your starting material | First task | What still needs review |
|---|---|---|
| A written idea | Generate one scene from a prompt | Composition, motion and unwanted objects |
| A photograph or approved still | Animate the starting image | Shape changes, cropping and background drift |
| A script with several beats | Plan separate shots before assembling them | Timing, transitions, narration and captions |
The cards below open Yix's Seedance 2.5 generator, with five seconds, vertical framing, 480p and audio selected. Opening a card does not generate a video or spend credits. The image option asks you to add a starting image. These are Yix workflows; they do not open Everygen or include Everygen's editing tools.
Make a text-to-video shot on Yix
Open the text option and check that Seedance 2.5 is selected. Leave the starting-image field empty. Describe one subject, one action and how the camera should move. Five seconds is a manageable first attempt: there is less motion to inspect and fewer competing instructions.
For an original practice scene, try:
A paper sailboat floats slowly across a shallow puddle after rain. A soft breeze makes small ripples. Low fixed camera at water level. Overcast daylight, one continuous shot. Quiet outdoor ambience. Keep the whole boat visible; no cuts or lettering.
This is a suggested prompt, not a published generation result. Keep the first attempt simple enough that you can tell what went wrong. If the boat changes shape, try less movement. If it leaves the frame, ask for a wider view. Change one instruction between attempts so you can connect the change to the result.
Before generating, read the credit quote beside the button. Sign in when prompted, then confirm the selected model and settings. After generation, play the entire clip before downloading it. A convincing first frame can conceal a sudden cut or a distorted object near the end.
Animate a photo instead
Open the image option, sign in if required, and upload a clear image you have permission to use. Yix accepts JPG, PNG and WebP for a starting frame, under 10 MB. Crop the image to your intended composition first. Seedance's framing follows the image when it is supplied.
For a photograph of a houseplant beside a window, try this motion instruction:
Animate this starting image in one continuous shot. Keep the pot and window frame still. The leaves sway slightly in a light breeze. Fixed camera, unchanged lighting, quiet room ambience. No new objects or scene changes.
The picture already supplies the plant and room. Asking for a different room in the prompt creates a competing instruction. Inspect the leaves, pot rim and straight window edges during playback. If exact product lettering matters, compare several frames with your source image before using the clip.
A text prompt cannot promise perfect preservation. Save the source and your chosen prompt so that a later revision has a clear starting point. For more model-specific settings, see the Seedance 2.5 guide.
Budget for the finished video
Everygen's pricing page describes subscriptions and credits used across generation and other tools. Check the billing interval, included credits and the cost of the action you intend to run before subscribing. A displayed monthly equivalent may belong to an annual bill.
Yix has its own credit packages and generation quotes. Credits from one service cannot be compared unit for unit with another. For a useful comparison, choose the same duration, resolution and input type, then calculate what several attempts and the remaining editing steps would cost.
The Yix presets here start at 480p so you can inspect the idea before choosing a larger output. Increasing resolution does not fix unclear instructions. Generating another attempt at a higher resolution produces a new clip, so review that clip too. Neither service's marketing examples establish what your particular prompt will produce.
Choose the workflow you actually need
If you need Everygen's caption or voiceover workflow, examine those tools in Everygen before choosing a plan. On Yix, this guide takes you through generating and downloading individual clips. Plan any sequence editing, titles or separately recorded narration in your editor; do not assume selecting the same model recreates another product's complete workflow.
For a faceless sequence, the Yix faceless video guide helps you think in shots. For this first exercise, finish one usable five-second clip. Watch its opening, midpoint and last frame, listen to the audio, and download it only after checking the details that matter to your project.
